Once more, with feeling

Fortunately we had plenty of mushroom, prune and onion goo to try this dinner again the right way, with some braised pork loin and mashed potatoes. I mashed four russets with two large carrots and then added a little turkey stock, butter, and about 1/3 cup fresh herbed goat cheese. It would be even better with some roasted garlic.

But the point is, was the goo good with pork loin? I'm sure it goes without saying that it was, which is probably why you didn't say it. But still...

I never would have thought of pulling those ingredients together and it sounds soooo good. You know this, but I just have to say you have a gift.

Yes! The goo was good with pork loin. I like slightly sweet sauces with pork, especially if there's also just a bit of tartness as well.

Hey, thanks Liz!

I wish you lived next door. I would sneak in the back door or through the window and steal your leftovers while you guys slept peacefully in your beds.

I liked mashed root vegies together very much. My personal fave is yukon golds + celeriac. YUM.
