I LOVE this post! (You knew I would!)

I would add Sunshine Superman by Donovan...an absolute classic.

Looks like you all are enjoying your summer!

I can say with certainty from that photo alone that Jasper and my two younger boys would get along GREAT!

My boys have a million costumes, my daughter could have cared less about dressing up. Just the other day Henry asked me "mom, can we find an oompa loompa costume???"

When they were a bit younger we would have superhero picnics and they would wear costumes and eat lunch on a blanket in the front yard. Jasper, you have an standing invitation....

oh, and for music selections, your list is a lot of fun! I always liked the Kim Possible theme.

I would suggest maybe Interplanet Janet from the original SchoolHouse Rock (although a bit outdated re: Pluto)
and perhaps With My Own Two Hands by Jack Johnson and Ben Harper

What can I say? We've done lots of kids' music. The Wiggles used to be a perennial on the DVR, and we watched them on road trips on DVD. The boys both like They Might be Giants' No, Here Come the ABCs and Here Come the 123s. And of course there's Schoolhouse Rock, which for a while there the Wizard wanted to watch multiple times/day. I also recently heard an interview with Barenaked Ladies about their new kids' album, which sounded worth checking out, anyway.

We have purchased for Newton, but not yet listened to, the first Dr. Demento collection. I think it will be key for social reasons in his uber-nerdy school.
